Snowy Highland Cow Giclee Print: Fine Art Cards or Framed Print
DESCRIPTIONInspired by shaggy, resilient Scottish Highland cows, I created an original oil painting of one in wintertime. I chose to make giclee prints of this painting.
OPTION 1: Fine Art Card (quantity 3)
When you give someone one of these cards, in a way, you’re also gifting them a print: the recipient can remove the print from the card and frame it. A frame with a 4x6 matted opening would frame this wonderfully.

Giclee prints made with archival ink on semi-matte, acid-free art printing paper.
Prints are 4.3x6.3 inches.
Prints are placed in 5x7 off-white cards. Blank inside.
Card and envelope are packaged in clear sleeve with acid-free mat board for protection.
OPTION 2: Framed
I’ve framed the print in a rustic wood frame. This would be beautiful for any art collector who loves animals, the Scottish Highlands, or wintertime. It also makes a thoughtful, warm gift.

HIGHLAND COWS:
Aptly named, Scottish Highland cows originated from Scotland and were commonly seen in the Highland region. (Source: Rural Living Today.) This area was known for harsher weather and other conditions where the cattle had to adapt quickly. That caused the region to be hard to survive in, so only the strongest of the bunch survived. That made the young of the next generations even stronger and more adaptable to the area’s difficult conditions.
Highland cows have distinctive horns and long, wavy, woolly coats that can be a range of colours, including red, ginger, black, dun, yellow, white, grey, tan, silver and brindle. Their distinctive long hair keeps them warm in winter, overs protection from the brush and undergrowth, protects their eyes from flies and it contributes to their stunning appearance which makes them so popular.
