Niagara River Plein Air Illusion: Limited Edition Giclee Print

from $18.00
DESCRIPTION

This is a signed limited-edition giclee print of a plein air illusion I did at the Niagara River. I blocked out a portion of the scenery with my canvas and oil painted what was missing.

The end result was so well color matched that people seemed to disappear when walking behind it.

This is a limited-edition print, which means there will only be 60 like this printed. The prints are numbered 1/60. Each print is personally editioned (signed, titled, and numbered) by me.

It was made with archival inks on acid-free, high-quality paper. This ensures the best longevity for the art print.

NIAGARA RIVER:

The water I painted is en route to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is a mere 20 minute drive from this site. The water will tumble right over the Falls and travel along the gorge.

The site where I’m standing (Niawanda Park) was once a bustling part of the Erie Canal. It was later filled in, and the bike path was eventually made. (Source Historical Society of the Tonawandas.)

This area was also once lined with six miles of docks for the lumber industry in the late 1800s. This was a leading lumber processing area because of its proximity to the Erie Canal and the railroad.

In 1890, having received and distributed 718,650,900 board feet of lumber, the port at the Tonawandas surpassed Chicago to become Number One in the world. (Source: The Historical Marker Database.)

COLOR MATCH QUEEN:

I’m known as the Color Match Queen of social media because I have the skill of mimicking colors realistically with my paint.

I pursue high-efficiency, low-waste art making methods because I care about the environment.
