Troublemaker: Woodland Chipmunk Original Miniature Oil Painting with Rustic Mini-Easel
DESCRIPTION
This is a miniature oil painting of a chipmunk. It’s a lifelike painting because I color matched the chipmunk’s colors photo-realistically. When I look at it, I feel like the chipmunk is looking right back at me.
This is ready to display on the easel or hang on the wall via the hook on the back.
I chose to paint this because I have a long history with troublemaking chipmunks. They’ve broken into my car to steal birdseed, chewed up my canvas shopping bags, nested in my glove box, and more. And yet, I think they are the cutest troublemakers in the world. I absolutely adore them and their mischievous spirit.
DETAILS:
Oil painting with glossy varnish on thick, solid wood panel.
Ready to hang on wall or display on easel.
Hanger on back.
Panel is solid wood and triple gessoed. Sides of panel are painted.
Painting is 2.75 x 1.75 x 0.3 inches.
The easel is 4 x 4.3 inches.
Certificate of authenticity included.
CHIPMUNKS:
Chipmunks are small, striped, terrestrial squirrels with large internal cheek pouches used for transporting food. (Source: Britannica.) Chipmunks are basically pygmy squirrels adapted to exploiting the resources of rocky terrain and forest understories. Despite their cute faces and bouncy, bubbly personalities, chipmunks can be trouble, such as ravaging gardens. (Source: Forbes.)
In spite of their troublemaking tendencies, chipmunks are adored by many. Chip and Dale and Alvin are popular chipmunk characters. Chipmunks are associated with playfulness, curiosity, speed, luck, prosperity, savings, whimsy, and seal. (Source: What Is My Spirit Animal.)
COLOR MATCH QUEEN:
I’m known as the Color Match Queen on social media because I produce art with realistically matched colors.
