DESCRIPTIONThis is a miniature oil painting of a chipmunk. It’s a lifelike painting because I color matched the chipmunk’s colors photo-realistically. When I look at it, I feel like the chipmunk is looking right back at me.
This is ready to display on the easel or hang on the wall via the hook on the back.
I chose to paint this because I have a long history with troublemaking chipmunks. They’ve broken into my car to steal birdseed, chewed up my canvas shopping bags, nested in my glove box, and more. And yet, I think they are the cutest troublemakers in the world. I absolutely adore them and their mischievous spirit.

CHIPMUNKS:
Chipmunks are small, striped, terrestrial squirrels with large internal cheek pouches used for transporting food. (Source: Britannica.) Chipmunks are basically pygmy squirrels adapted to exploiting the resources of rocky terrain and forest understories. Despite their cute faces and bouncy, bubbly personalities, chipmunks can be trouble, such as ravaging gardens. (Source: Forbes.)
