Oil-painted Quarter Necklace: Pink Sunset, Herons at Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge

$125.00
DESCRIPTION

This necklace features a tiny oil painting of great blue herons at the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge marsh.

This painting takes place at sunset. The sky is flooded with pink, purple, and blue light. The water in the marsh reflects the sky. In the foreground, a great blue heron looks at you while another heron drinks water. The marsh is full of finely detailed plant life.

I’ve been developing my micro-painting skills for the last several years. I love painting quarters because they are small and travel around the world.

DETAILS:
Bombay Hook circulated quarter.
Chain and bail are gold plated; shiny and sturdy; lobster claw clasp (closes securely; isn’t flimsy).
Bezel is goldtoned.
Oil paint and glossy coating to protect painting.

BOMBAY HOOK WILDLIFE REFUGE, DELAWARE:

Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge is host to hundreds of thousands of migrating ducks, geese, shorebirds and neo-tropical songbirds in their spring and fall migrations. (Source: U.S. Mint.) Tired and hungry between Canada and the Gulf of Mexico, they seek shelter at Bombay Hook and feast on marsh grasses, fish and other important foods before continuing their flight. Bombay Hook’s 16,000 acres include freshwater pools, swamps, upland forests, agricultural fields and one of the largest unaltered tidal salt marshes in the Mid-Atlantic region. It was established as a national site in 1937.

DIMENSIONS:
1 inch wide (a quarter is nearly 1 inch in diameter).
The bezel makes the height 1 3/8 inches.
The necklace length is 18 inches.

I’m certain you’ll be pleased with the quality of this product. I currently offer shipping to the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia. If you need shipping to any additional countries, please let me know so I can expand my shipping options.
