Innocence: Framed Red Panda Drawing

DESCRIPTION

This is a framed red panda drawn in pencils. The red panda looks to the side with a look of watchful innocence. Like with my paintings, I paid a lot of attention to value — I love the contrasts between dark and light.

Drawing fixed with acid-free fixative spray.
Drawing is 4x6 inches. Frame is 7.5x5.5 inches.

RED PANDAS:

Red panda, also called lesser panda, panda, red cat-bear, or red bear-cat, is a reddish brown, long-tailed, raccoon-like mammal, about the size of a large domestic cat. (Source: Brittanica.) It is found in the mountain forests of the Himalayas and adjacent areas of eastern Asia and subsists mainly on bamboo and other vegetation, fruits, and insects. Once classified as a relative of the giant panda, it is now usually classified as the sole member of the family Ailuridae.
