DESCRIPTION

This is a tiny ornament, charm, or pendant for someone who loves tiny art, animals, or coins. This is painted on the Oklahoma quarter, featuring a Scissortail Flycatcher who flies over the State wildflower, the Indian Blanket.

SCISSORTAIL FLYCATCHER FACTS:

The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher flies in straight lines with fast wingbeats, its tail folded. It also often hovers with its tail spread or makes abrupt turns in midair. Scissor-tailed Flycatchers breed in savannas with scattered trees, shrubs, and patches of brush in the south-central U.S. and just over the border into northern Mexico. Scissor-tailed Flycatchers spend the winter in southern Mexico and Central America, in humid savannas, pastures, agricultural lands, scrublands, villages, towns, and the edges of tropical deciduous forests.

DETAILS:
Oklahoma circulated quarter.
Goldtoned bezel.
Oil paint and varnish.
Red ribbon and gold-colored embroidery floss for hanging.

CARE:

The varnish protects the paint, but it should be handled with care to protect the painting. The bezel (the metal holder around the coin) is where the coin is meant to be handled.
